This was the song that used to come through the chalet speakers in the morning to wake you up lol ... now you can see where Hi-de-hi got the 'good morning campers' idea from!

I had this record as a souvenier when I went to Butlins Minehead with my parents in 1965 ..sadly it disappeared somewhere (I bet it's worth a few bob too) ..on the B side was the song 'Good Evening'

First thing I ever heard from him and I was hooked!

Apparently my father used to sing this song when he was a bit too merry at a party. I never heard him sing this song, but Mum used to get wild with him when he did. I had no idea why she was so anti about it. She never explained and I never asked Dad to sing it, so it's words remained a mystery until many years after my parents had passed. Now I've finally heard the song at last I cannot fathom my Mum's attitude. However, I'll always wonder if Dad embellished the words!

She is a rare artist. Her rendering of The Last Time I Saw Paris is even better. However, I have always been impressed with Jonathan. He was born with a physical defect (two right hands) but he studied hard and became a master of the keyboard, as you heard. They are to be remembered! Thanks for sharing their brilliance. ❤
